Primary Technology Infrastructure

In terms of computing power, Merit Outsourcing has developed a series of IT systems relying on IBM and Dell servers which in turn are deployed with Microsoft networking, email and internet applications.

As well as using Windows 2000 networking, MS-Exchange and MS SQL 2000 on our core systems, we have also deployed Symantec and Checkpoint applications to manage our anti-virus and firewall implementations.

Client PC Specification

The client PCs are co-ordinated through Cisco switches on Cat5 cabling with fixed network access points at each workstation. The systems run on a centralised UPS system and we have a comprehensive data backup and recovery process running on a daily basis. We have a solid firewall implementation and our anti virus systems are reinforced by a rigorous and company wide set of computer use regulations. All of our systems are pro-actively managed by a team of six IT and Telecoms engineers.
